Kuala Lampur was fabulous! We took a bus across the border from Singapore to Malaysia and stayed in a fantastic hostel (free Mickey Mouse toast in the morning was a bonus 😂). Met friends from all over (Portugal, Syria, UK, Australia, Germany, Netherlands) and explored the city.

First stop was the Batu Caves – a Hindu temple built into caves starting in 1891. The caves are up a set of ~270 rainbow stairs behind a 140 ft tall Murugan Statue. There are lots of monkeys running around stealing food.

We headed to Chinatown for fantastic bao bun lunch.

In the evening, a big group of us from the hostel found a sky bar with an amazing view of the twin towers/Petronas towers.

We could also see the Merdeka 118, the 2nd tallest building in the world!

To cap off a busy day in Kuala Lumpur, we headed to a night market to try some local cuisine – I had Panipuri, delicious!
